Boko Haram Strom Bama, Borno, Nigerian Army Defend Well

The war against terrorism continues in Borno State, as Nigerian Army repelled a massive Boko Haram attack on Bama hours ago. According to SaharaReporters, the terrorists targeted Bama, which is a strategic city with the population of about 500,000 people. The insurgents intend to seize the city in order to expand the so-called ‘Caliphate’ with the centre in Gwoza town, declared by Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau in a recent video message. Nevertheless, the attack caused panic and numerous residents, including the Emir of Bama are fleeing to Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State. They have to make a 40-mile- long (64 km) extremely dangerous journey by A4 road before they reach more or less secure area. It would be noted that Boko Haram terrorists have switched from mass bombings, kidnappings and random raids to another tactics, similar to what the Islamic State is doing on the territory of Iraq and Syria. Nigerian terrorists control Gwoza, Gamboru Ngala and dozens of smaller settlements in Borno State. The insurgents conduct mass killings of residents, especially those who refuses to follow their way. They are also building up their strength by capturing military and law-enforcement objects, bases and armories. Thus, the staff of riot police Academy on the outskirts of Gwoza reportedly serve as instructors to sect’s fighters for fear of horrible death.
